Packaging supplier Margarethner Verpackungsgesellschaft MVG was established in 1980 as a carton and corrugated converter, focused on short-run production. Besides Displays, the company also began producing high-end, shortrun point-of-purchase displays printed on corrugated and carton. A one-stop supplier, MVG offers a complete range of services including assembly, filling, individual packaging, addressing and shipping. To produce even faster while meeting the company's high quality standards, MVG recently installed a state-of-the-art Zünd G3 XL-3200 with automatic Board Handling System.
Efficient and economical
With a fully automated production line consisting of a Zünd G3 digital cutting system with Board Handling System, MVG can now fulfill any order efficiently and economically, no matter how long or short the required production run. It takes digitally printed sheets from the Durst Rho digital press and then cuts them to order.
Zünd's modular tool and material-handling systems make it easy to tailor the G3 cutting system to specific cutting needs. Users can define production requirements, and select the building blocks that will make up the perfect configuration. Additions and upgrades are possible any time. Innovative technology and excellent manufacturing result in reliability and low maintenance costs. Because of their modular design, G3 cutting systems can adapt to ever-changing needs.
"We have been working with Zünd cutting technology for samplemaking and short runs for many years. At the very latest, once we completed final testing at Zünd's demonstration facilities and headquarters, it was clear to us that we would opt for another Zünd cutter," explains Andreas Hajos, Technical Director at MVG. “The Zünd G3 cutter with automatic board handling delivers the highest level of performance with minimal personnel requirements. We were also impressed with the modularity and flexibility of the Zünd G3 cutting system, not to mention the simple operation and intuitive user interface of Zünd Cut Center ZCC. There was no shortage of reasons why we came to the conclusion that, ultimately, only Zünd production equipment would do the job for us."
The Board Handling System completely automates both loading and unloading of materials and reduces personnel requirements to a minimum. At its highest level of automation, the system allows for autonomous and unattended production overnight. In case any operator intervention is required, ZCC automatically sends out a notifcation via email.
Hajos concludes, "With a fully automated production line consisting of the Zünd G3 cutter with Board Handling System, we can fulfill every order quickly and easily, no matter whether it involves long or short-run production."
